Bradley Walsh loses it as former professional golfer plays on The Chase

Bradley Walsh often gets animated on The Chase, but in the latest episode he was buzzing to meet former professional golfer Penny Grice-Whittaker who was taking part in the show.

Penny, who managed to take back £4,000 to the team, won the 1986 Belgian Ladies Open with a course record of seventeen under par, the 1991 Women’s British Open and the 1991 Longines Classic. Outside of the Ladies European Tour, Penny won the 1992 Hisiki Ladies Queensland Open on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour.

On introducing Penny, host Bradley is almost squeaking with excitement when introducing the talented contestant who now works or Royal Mail.

Penny had an impressive golfing career

He said: “Have you always worked for the Royal Mail?” To which Penny replied ‘no’ causing Bradley to clutch his hands and say excitedly: “What did you do before, Penny?”

Smiling, Penny, who lives in Barnsley, said: “Professional golfer, Brad.”

Yeh! GOLF!

“Yes! Brilliant,” shouted Bradley, who is a huge golf-fan, and he started to clap as Penny listed her achievements.

Penny retired in 1998 and went on to be a singer in duo Bits-n-Pieces. Chaser Paul Sinha claimed that Penny was the first person he’d faced on the show with a bigger Wikipedia entry than him.
