How to make sure your Royal Mail letter gets to Santa this Christmas

You may not be hanging up your stocking on the wall just yet, but the countdown to Christmas has definitely started.

The appearance of Christmas lights in the highstreets and festive sales in shops means it’s time to start thinking about what you want from Father Christmas in December.

But with so many children to provide for, Santa has asked Royal Mail to help him make children’s wishes come true by delivering their letters to him at the North Pole.

For 58 years, Royal Mail has been responsible for Santa’s mailbag and helped deliver hundreds of thousands of special letters to Santa.

The Royal Mail elves take this job very seriously and want to make sure every letter from Hampshire’s children reaches the big man in the red suit in time.

Therefore, children should make sure they have written to Father Christmas by no later than Friday 10 December 2021.

If a letter (which must include your name and home address) is sent by this date, Royal Mail has confirmed you will get a special response from Santa himself.

Axelle Galera, Royal Mail Chief Elf, who ensures children’s letters reach Santa at his grotto in the North Pole, said: “Royal Mail plays a very special part in the nation’s Christmas preparations.
