Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a ‘bombshell on timer they can detonate at any time’, according to the Daily Mail.
The unidentified royal who allegedly made remarks about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie’s skin has been named in a new book, but royal insiders say the Sussexes still have power.
According to a royal specialist, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal racism claims are “a bombshell on a timer” that they can detonate “whenever they want.”
Meghan and Harry sat down for an interview with US talk show host Oprah after leaving the Royal Family last year, levelling a variety of claims against The Firm.
Meghan said that an anonymous senior member of the royal family made comments about the skin color of the couple’s eldest child Archie, which is possibly the most incendiary allegation.
This charge arose recently after a new book allegedly prompted Prince Charles to contact his attorneys after he was accused of being the “royal racist.” The book, as well as the claims contained within it, has been labeled as “fiction” by the Palace.
Despite the assertions in the book, the Mail’s diary editor Richard Eden stated that the identity of the individual who made the comments concerning Archie’s skin tone will be released at the Sussexes’ discretion.
“This was perhaps the most serious of their charges. On the Palace Confidential podcast, he alleged, “It was like a bombshell on a timer, which they could sort of detonate whenever they wanted.”
“What was so horrible about the allegation was that they left it hanging.” Accusing someone of being a racist is one of the worst things you can say in this day and age.
“And then just putting it out there and leaving it hanging… They aggravated the situation by narrowing down the suspects.” During the interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex verified that the remark was not uttered by Prince Philip or the Queen.
However, Richard claimed that the Royal Family members that remained were equally anxious due to the uncertainties they were facing.
“They made it plain that it was senior royals,” he added, “so the spotlight instantly shifted to Prince William, Prince Charles, Camilla, and it sort of stuck there.”
“They haven’t given us an answer, so we’ll simply conjecture and speculate,” Charlotte Griffiths, editor-at-large of the Mail on Sunday, concurred.
“People in royal circles say that it’s even a lesser royal, and she’s merely exaggerated it to keep us guessing.”
“And then there was that. The news is summarized by Brinkwire.
