Yorkley Post Office re-opens with longer hours after full modernisation — Gloucestershire News Service

Yorkley Post Office has re-opened this week with significantly longer hours than before after the new Postmaster fully modernised the Stag Hill premises.

The branch was close for refurbishment on 24th November and is now a new local-style Post Office still offering the majority of Post Office service as before, said a Royal Mail spokesperson.

“Post Office services are now provided by a low-screened counter alongside the retail counter.

“The new opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 7.30am – 7.30pm; 8.30am – 5pm.

“This is an extra 35 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers. The significantly longer opening hours include all-day Sunday, Saturday afternoon, earlier opening and much later closing.”

Scott Lacey, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “The branch was temporarily closed for the refit of the store. It has been fully modernised and looks great. We are delighted that the new-look branch has re-opened before the busy Christmas period.”
