John Lundstram’s Rangers supporting postie missed out on meeting the Ibrox midfielder on Saturday.
But the former Sheffield United man knows where their loyalties lie – after they left a message on the Royal Mail calling card.
Lundstram signed for the Premiership champions on a free transfer in the summer and appears to be settling in now after a slightly rocky start.
He started in the final group stage Europa League clash of the year in Lyon, with Rangers managing a 1-1 draw over in France.
He’d have been out when his pair of parcels were due on Saturday afternoon but Lundstram returned home to find that little red slip to inform him a redelivery is in order.
But the postie made sure to brighten up his day with a simple message in the ‘other information’ box: club motto ‘we are the people’.
Lundstram took to Instagram to share the message as the Merseyside native showed he appreciated the note with a laughing emoji and caption: “Yes the posty fella”
Rangers next take on third-placed Hearts in the league on Sunday lunchtime in the capital.
