Royal Mail warning over Christmas delivery delays

Royal Mail is warning of disruption to deliveries over the busy Christmas period.

More than 20 of their delivery offices are experiencing issues meaning there may be delays in some parts of the UK, including Merseyside and Warrington.

The festive season is the busiest time for the Royal Mail and they have said they are working to minimise delays to the delivery of presents and cards – but admits it may not be able to offer a full service in some places.

Royal Mail said the disruption is being caused by “COVID -related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors”, the Mirror Online reports.

Locally, offices in New Ferry, Wirral, St Helens and Warrington have all be affected and are included on the full list of 25 offices suffering disruption.
