ITV Royal Variety Show viewers were all distracted by one thing during the show’s musicals-themed opening number.
Matilda: The Musical star Zoe Simon opened the ITV extravaganza with a moving rendition of God Save the Queen, before the stars of Moulin Rouge took over the stage for a spectacular performance.
But viewers all found themselves distracted by one thing – Zoe’s hairdo.

Viewers at home were quick to comment on Twitter as they pointed out her messy do.
“They could have brushed that poor girls hair haha, great voice though #RoyalVarietyPerformance” said Adam.
“Could have brushed her hair #RoyalVarietyPerformance” echoed Twitter user Red_sox_pugie.
Morgan added: “Bloody sick of kids from Matilda The Musical. There are other musicals out there. #RoyalVarietyPerformance”

Others questioned the choice to mash-up Matilda and Moulin Rouge.
“Nothing says variety like Matilda singing God save the Queen in front of the Moulin Rouge set #RoyalVarietyPerformance” tweeted Rachel.
Jess added: “Right, what we’ll do is, is we’ll have a child sing the National anthem, followed by some French prostitutes” #RoyalVarietyPerformance”
