Merry Christmas from BusinessLive – Business Live

It’s been another remarkable year for businesses across the UK- and here at BusinessLive we’ve spent 2021 bringing you stories from across the UK of businesses who have battled through despite lockdowns and the coronavirus pandemic.

As the business year comes to an end, we thought we’d remind you of some of our most-read stories of the year from our team of expert reporters and editors.

We’ve brought you all the latest news and reaction to the big Government announcements affecting business, and our live blog on the autumn Budget proved very popular with our readers.

This year the country was rightly proud of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout – so we explored the factories making AstraZeneca, Pfizer and other Covid-19 vaccine in the UK.

The HGV driver shortage caused problems for supply chains across the country, so it’s no surprise our story about a driver agency offering to pay £5,000 HGV training costs got lots of attention.

Readers were also fascinated by our report on a super-sized Royal Mail parcel hub able to process a million items a day.

Dragons’ Den, which returns in January, remains one of Britain’s most talked-about TV shows – so we looked back at seven of the series’ biggest success stories.

The Apprentice also returns in January – and this year we met Alex Mills, the former Apprentice star who’s now worth £16m and declared: “I want to replace Alan Sugar”.

Our regular emails stop today, but they’ll return in the New Year. To sign up to the best business news emails in the business, subscribe here.

We’ll keep bringing you news through the festive season and into 2022. I hope you’ll keep reading, and keep sharing your thoughts with us in our comments sections and by joining the chat on our LinkedIn page.

Thanks once again for sticking with us – we look forward to sharing more with you in 2022.
