Wrexham’s Member of the Senedd has praised postal workers for their hard work throughout the pandemic and a first-class festive service

Local Member of the Senedd, Lesley Griffiths has visited Wrexham Delivery Office to pass on Season’s Greetings to the Royal Mail team who are working hard to deliver cards and gifts in time for Christmas.

Lesley Griffiths recently toured the facility last week and met the postmen and women gearing up for the festive season.

It was also an opportunity to thank postal workers for all their hard working during the pandemic. The run up to Christmas remains the busiest time of the year for the Royal Mail but the Wrexham team has worked tirelessly for almost two years, helping keep communities connected and businesses trading.

Wrexham MS Lesley Griffiths said: “As key workers, Royal Mail staff have been working flat out with little respite throughout the pandemic and it is getting even busier in the run up to Christmas.

“It was great to meet the Wrexham team once again to thank them in person for their extraordinary efforts.

“As we approach the Christmas season, they will be delivering Christmas parcels and cards, spreading a bit of cheer after what has been a very challenging year for many.

“On behalf of all my constituents in Wrexham, thank you for everything you do!”
