Does Royal Mail deliver on Christmas Eve?
The good news for any late present shoppers is that Royal Mail does deliver on Christmas Eve.
Moreover, there will be collections, although if you are thinking about posting something today you should expect delays.
Royal Mail is officially closed for deliveries and collections, in England and Wales, between Christmas Day (Saturday) and Tuesday, December 28.
People should note that for a parcel to arrive by December 25, via Royal Mail, the latest you could have left ordering an item was yesterday with the Special Delivery Guaranteed option.

Consequently, it’s best that you check ahead and find out what time your bank and local branches will be closing at today.
This guidance is particularly relevant if you need to do any urgent banking before the festive period begins.
Banks will be shut on both Christmas and Boxing Day this year. In fact, because both of these days fall on a weekend in 2021 there will be two substitute bank holidays to make up for this predicament.
Both the Christmas Day and Boxing Day bank holiday have been moved to Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28, respectively which means after Christmas Eve you won’t be able to visit your bank until next Wednesday.
