Kate and William broke ‘special’ tradition they have with children at this time of year

The Duke of Cambridge explained on one occasion that their children love playing with their cousins when they get together during the festive season.

“And they all have a wonderful time playing together, it’s very special.

“So I look forward to that a lot and obviously Christmas is a new dynamic when you have children.

“Suddenly it’s a whole different ball game when you have the noise and excitement, so I’m enjoying the new version of Christmas in my life,” he told Radio Marsden’s Barry Alston.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a very good relationship with Prince William’s cousin, Zara Tindall and her husband Mike, whom they see very often.

Zara and Mike’s children, Mia, seven, and Lena, three, and very close in age with the Cambridges’ children.

Prince George is now eight, Princess Charlotte is six and Prince Louis is three.

Prince William explained they love spending time together and playing board games at this time of the year, something the children truly enjoy.

“Usually everyone gets very cross about because they lose,” he joked.

Some members of the Royal Family attended the Christmas Day morning church service at St George’s Chapel, at Windsor Castle, on December 25.

It was also confirmed that the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall joined the Queen on Christmas Day.

It was reported the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent Christmas in Norfolk with some of Kate’s family.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, it is unlikely the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children met with Zara and Mike Tindall and their two children this year.
