Falkirk police warn public over Royal Mail text message scams

Falkirk police have warned the public over Royal Mail text message scams.

Sharing a warning on the Forth Valley Police Division Facebook page, they informed residents about receiving suspicious messages.

The force said they come as texts from the Royal Mail or other delivery services saying you need to pay a fee for a parcel or package.

They warned members of the public not to click any links or call any numbers included in the text and not to pay any money.

Forth Valley Police said: “Received a text message from @RoyalMail or another delivery service saying you need to pay a fee for a parcel/package?

“It’s most likely a #scam.
