North-east MP praises postal workers for work over festive period

Gordon MP Richard Thomson has praised the efforts of local postal workers during their busiest time of the year.

A huge amount of work goes into the festive period by Royal Mail, which was made more challenging by the continuing pandemic.

Mr Thomson said: “There is a huge amount of effort and dedication that goes into delivering a first-class Christmas at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year.

“The postal staff do a fantastic job to ensure that friends and families stay in touch through their Christmas greetings and gifts, which is particularly important once again this year in light of the continuing pandemic.

“Our posties do such an important job all year round but particularly at Christmas and I’d like to extend my thanks to them for their efforts on behalf of the communities they serve.”
