Oxfordshire weather: Travel disruption likely as Met Office issues yellow warning for fog

The Met Office has warned of travel disruption across the country as it issues a yellow weather warning for most of south and east England.

The warning has been in place from Friday, January 14 and is expected to remain until 11am today (Saturday, 15 January).

In the latest update, the area affected stretches from just south of Newcastle and down into Sussex and Oxfordshire.

It also spans the country from Cambridgeshire and west towards the border with Wales.

Impaired visibility is expected according to the forecaster which will likely lead to hazardous driving conditions.

It has also warned of slower journey times by road and has added that delays are possible on public transport including bus and train services.

Flights may be delayed or cancelled.

The updated warning has been expanded to cover much of southeast England with Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, and London to expect complete fog coverage.

Parts of Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Norfolk will also see some disruption.
