Royal Mail is struggling to deliver to these Yorkshire postcodes

People living in a handful of Yorkshire communities may find they are not getting their post at the moment.

Royal Mail is struggling to deliver to some places due to staff absences.

Workers testing positive for Covid have been forced to self-isolate, meaning some delivery offices are finding it hard to cope with their workload.

The company has posted a list of affected postcodes on its website, along with a message apologising to customers.

It reads: “In a small number of local offices this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as Covid-related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. We will regularly update customers on the offices most impacted.”
