Product safety alerts are essential for ensuring the safety of the consumer.

Concerning product recalls, Gov.UK stated: “To stay up to date about any safety issues with your products, register them with their manufacturer.

Many household products, especially electrical ones, come with the option to register them with the manufacturer.

“If you are concerned about the safety of a product, contact the consumer helpline to Citizens Advice in England or Wales or to Advice Direct Scotland.

“Your complaint may be referred to the relevant local Trading Standards service, who may take further action.

“You may be entitled to a refund, a replacement or a repair if there is a safety issue with a product you own, but not if you have damaged or misused it.

“If an unsafe product causes injury to you or your family or damage to your property, you may be able to claim compensation, depending on the circumstances.

Asda most recently recalled their Chilled Quorn Sweet Chilli Bites 180g, Chilled Quorn Korma Bites 180g and Chilled Quorn Garlic & Herb Bites 180g.
