Will Easter post be delivered as Royal Mail, DPD and Evri changes scheduled over weekend

With two Easter bank holidays taking place, the post this weekend is expected to be slower over most services.

The pandemic has impeded delivery services at times over the last two years, but this delay will be down to a more normal reason – a bank holiday weekend.

With the UK removing most protective measures, Easter this year looks poised to be a more traditional celebration, Wales Online reports.

Cards to friends and family may be zipping across the country adding to the usual volume of parcels in the post.

While some services will run a limited schedule, many will not be operating altogether.

Will there be post over the weekend?

The Royal Mail in Scotland will be continuing as usual on Good Friday

Yes, as some services still deliver during the Easter period, depending on who they are and what day it is.

The Royal Mail delivers and collects mail on most days except public or bank holidays.

This Easter in Scotland, its collections and deliveries will continue as usual on Good Friday, but there will be no collections or deliveries on Easter Monday.

That differs from England, Wales and Northern Ireland where Royal Mail will not be allowing collections, or delivering mail on Good Friday, April 15, and Easter Monday, April 18.

On the other hand, Amazon will be operating over the whole weekend, including Easter Sunday.

DHL will also be collecting and delivering parcels, but only on certain dates this weekend.

Deliveries will be happening Thursday 14, Saturday 16 and Tuesday 19. As for collections, these will only be possible on Thursday and Tuesday.

DPD has also said it will not be operating during the holidays. They will be closed Friday 15, Sunday 17, and Monday 18.

Parcelforce, FedEx, Yodel, and Evri – formerly known as Hermes – are other courier services that do not deliver or offer collections on bank holidays.
