Prince William and Kate Middleton filmed walking hand-in-hand through Barbados in viral TikTok video

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were filmed putting on a rare public display of affection as they walked through their Barbados hotel hand-in-hand in a now viral TikTok video.

Prince William, 39, and Kate MIddleton, 40, who are usually reserved when it comes to PDA during royal engagements, were noticeably tactile and even, at times, flirtatious throughout their Caribbean tour earlier this year.

And now Jimmy Rex, from the US, has shared a clip on TikTok of the couple as they walked through their hotel before leaving the Bahamas,  writing: ‘This couple staying in the Bahamas had 35 security guards.’

In the video, Kate and William appeared relaxed as they strolled through the hotel hand-in-hand.

The Duchess was wearing a £1,655 belted floral-print peplum dress by Alessandra Rich as she left the hotel with Prince William before departing the Bahamas following their week-long tour of the Caribbean.

Kate also paired the look with white leather pumps. The Duchess wore the 80s-inspired silhouette, featuring bow-detailed ruffled collar, puffed sleeves and a pleated peplum at the waist, with £560 Gianvito Rossi pumps and £3,400 earrings.

Alessandra Rich is also one of the Duchess’ favoured labels, with the royal frequently turning to the London-based designer for her royal engagements.

The couple’s week-long trip, which came to an end last night, has been plagued by public relations gaffes and protests about British colonialism, which led to the endeavour being branded ‘tone deaf’ to modern sensibilities.

Other TikTok users were amazed by the video clip, with one person writing: ‘Casually runs into the royal family!’

Another wrote: ‘If anyone was destined to be a queen it was Kate.’

A third added: ‘Lovely to see them holding hands.’

‘Aww they look so relaxed,’ a fourth commented.

The video has gone viral amid a busy period for the royal couple, who took part in a two-day whirlwind tour of Scotland last week.

Kate and William visited St John’s Primary School in Port Glasgow where they took part in a Roots of Empathy session and spoke with students and teachers taking part.

Later, William and Kate visited the Wheatley Group site in Kennishead to see first-hand how they are transforming the lives of disadvantaged or vulnerable people, including those at risk of homelessness, before they are set to travel to University of Glasgow.

The following day, the Duke met with Heart of Midlothian football club’s Chief Executive Andrew McKinlay and Chair Ann Budge, during a visit to their grounds in Edinburgh to discuss mental health in sport.

The couple, as well as their children, are currently preparing for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations this summer.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are set to have a ‘starring role’ and will take a ‘visible’ part in the celebrations to mark the monarch’s 70th year on the throne, as part of a ‘royal show of force’, according to the Telegraph.

George, eight, Charlotte, seven, and four-year-old Prince Louis are likely to make their debut in the carriage to the Trooping the Colour, and will also likely be seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the famous flyover.

William was four, the same age of his youngest son Louis, when he had his first carriage ride alongside Princess Diana and the Queen mother at 1988’s Trooping of the Colour.

While the final plans for the weekend are still being drawn up, it is understood William will be taking the lead on military events, including standing in for Her Majesty reviewing the Trooping of the Colour in a formal inspection the week before the jubilee weekend.

Meanwhile, Kate will continue her work with early years learning and will help coordinate Superbloom, the project which sees the Tower of London flooded with hundreds of flowers and even a slide.

Elsewhere, Prince Charles will host a bank holiday concert and the Duchess of Cornwall will host a Big Lunch.

Other members of the royal family including Prince Edward, Sophie Wessex, Princess Anne, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will make appearances throughout the weekend.

Her Majesty, 96, will undergo less engagements than at previous jubilees due to mobility problems.
