The Mailbox from Post Office to high-end shopping and offices in 16 pics

Fine dining by the canal, shopping for designer clothes, fancy hotels – the Mailbox is the pinnacle of posh landmarks in Brum.

It wasn’t always that way, though. Get too close in the 70s and 80s and you might hear the din of thousands of workers and machines sorting Birmingham’s post into neat little piles, as Royal Mail worked to serve the city from their local headquarters.
