Right royal fun at parkrun on jubilee weekend

LOTS of fun was had by those who attended parkrun events during the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations.

Rothay Park parkrun saw 147 people in attendance at the 5k event.

The first man to finish was Robert Short in 18.22, followed by Geoffrey Whitby in 19.13 and Charlie Jeffrey 19.15.

The first woman to finish was Katie Percival in 21.02, followed by Yasmin Boodhun in 23.09 and Alison Smith in 23.35.

100 people took part in Barrow parkrun.

The fastest man was Joe Turner in a new personal best (PB) of 17.58, followed by Sean Roberts in 18.26 and Antonio Maggio-Poyntz in 18.55.

The fastest woman was Natalie Dodds in a PB of 22.54, followed by Fiona Lynch in 23.48 and Janice Callister in 24.28.

Ford parkrun saw 86 people in attendance.

The fastest man was Chris Joyce in 17.40, followed by Luke Turner in a PB of 18.46 and Samuel Sancar in 19.08.

The fastest woman was Helen Smith in a PB of 18.08, followed by Georgia Bell in 20.01 and Daisy Fletcher-Cooney in 25.06.

Millom had 55 attending.

The fastest man was Andrew Woodhead in a PB of 20.03, followed by Richard Marlton in 20.21 and Dave Bridges in 21.06.

The fastest woman was Holly Singleton in 25.11, followed by Suzy Overton in 26.12 and Anne Smith in 26.43.

Fell Foot parkrun saw a huge turnout of 280 people.

The fastest man was Aedan Lydon in 17.35, followed by Tom Williams in 17.47 and Evan Allan in a PB of 18.11.

The fastest woman was Esme Lydon in 21.25, followed by Sophie Norman in a PB of 22.08 and Rebecca Avanessian in 22.09.
