Ten Marlow Schools together in taking part in town eco-day

Ten schools in Marlow will be joining together for an eco day of action which they hope will have a big impact on the town.

At an eco-schools conference, held at Marlow CofE Infant School, representatives from the schools discussed how they could mark World Environment Day.

It was decided that on June 10 children at the schools will wear green for the day, travel to school sustainably by walking, scooting, or cycling and take part in litter picks in the area.

All the schools have also committed to trying to use no electricity for the duration of the school day

A spokesperson said: “The hope is that the impact of all the children in Marlow walking or cycling to school wearing green will make a visible impact in the town.

“The commitment to use no electricity during the school day is going to take some careful planning to ensure lessons can be taught with no computers, interactive whiteboards or other electrical equipment.”
