ROYAL ASCOT DAY FOUR TIPS: Make it a Prosperous day in the Coronation Stakes

ROYAL ASCOT DAY FOUR TIPS: Make it a Prosperous day in the Coronation Stakes… while Go Bears Go can make up for near miss last year

  • Sportsmail tipster SAM TURNER gives his take for day three at Royal Ascot
  • Fully Wet arrives at Royal Ascot on the back of a debut win at Goodwood
  • Prosperous Voyage can claim glory after twice finishing runner-up to Inspiral
  • Only a head separated Go Bears Go and Perfect Power in Norfolk Stakes last year

Sportsmail’s expert tipster Sam Turner delivers his verdict ahead of day four at Royal Ascot.

2.30: FULLY WET arrives here on the back of a sole win on debut. The selection belied her inexperience at Goodwood to win going away at the line under a hands-and-heels ride. Meditate has already won a Group Three, so is respected along with Mawj, who was unconsidered in the market before winning on her debut.

Selection: FULLY WET

Danger: MEDITATE

3.05: GO BEARS AGO and Perfect Power met in last year’s Norfolk Stakes and only a head separated them, with the latter prevailing. Go Bears Go is favoured today after running better than the result suggested at Haydock behind El Caballo last time. Perfect Power shaped well in the 2,000 Guineas and is a huge threat if stall one doesn’t prove too awkward to overcome.

Selection: GO BEARS AGO (nap)

Danger: PERFECT POWER

3.40: A double-figure draw has been an advantage over the last decade and that may make life awkward for Mashhoor, Trawlerman and Just Fine, all of whom are reluctantly overlooked. Only one horse has beaten CONTACT this season and that was Get Shirty, who lifted the Copper Horse Stakes on day one.

Selection: CONTACT

Danger: CANDLEFORD

4.20: The return of winter Guineas favourite Inspiral adds glamour to an excellent Coronation Stakes renewal, but in the hope she is ring rusty PROSPEROUS VOYAGE, runner-up to Inspiral twice last term, is offered as a bigger-priced alternative. Gosden second-string Grande Dame could outrun her odds.

Selection: PROSPEROUS VOYAGE

Danger: INSPIRAL

5.00: FRESH HOPE represents a stable that have won this race twice in the last three renewals and looks temptingly handicapped following her gritty Doncaster success. Zanbaq is a smart filly who should relish the good ground.

Selection: FRESH HOPE

Danger: ZANBAQ

5.35: The Derby form is represented by fifth home Changingoftheguard, who may finish closer today if allowed to dictate from the front, but OTTOMAN FLEET can exploit a light campaign and prove himself at this level.

Selection: OTTOMAN FLEET

Danger: CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD

6.10: LADIES CURCH should appreciate the stiff five furlongs and her handler has already proved adept in this sort of race at the royal meeting. Sterling Knight won over 6f here last time and that experience should be an asset.

Selection: LADIES CURCH

Danger: STERLING KNIGHT
