A59 has reopened at West Marton, near Skipton

THE A59 at West Marton has reopened after being closed since late last night following a collision between a Royal Mail Parcel Force articulated lorry and a car.

The lorry was on the A59 heading towards Gisburn when the collision happened at the crossroads in the village where Thornton Road crosses the A road.

The condition of the occupants of the car and the lorry has not been disclosed at this time.
