Jefferson OK’d for more food stamps (New Orleans Times-Picayune)

BATON ROUGE — Jefferson and six other parishes have been approved for a second month of disaster food stamps following Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, the Louisiana Department of Social Services announced Wednesday.
