IRS drops $319 million lien against FedEx (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)

FedEx Corp. says the Internal Revenue Service has withdrawn a tentative assessment that the delivery company owes about $319 million in back taxes and penalties for having misclassified some of its drivers as independent contractors in 2002.
