The Queen’s nearest and dearest face the same challenge every year – finding an original Christmas present for a woman who seemingly has everything imaginable. A gift once reportedly given by Prince Harry certainly didn’t lack originality, reports MyLondon.
Most people would have probably erred on the side of caution when shopping for a much-loved monarch who has been on the throne for 70 years, but biographer Brian Hoey said Prince Harry had other ideas. He decided to get his grandmother, who is now 96, a shower cap with the slogan “Ain’t Life a B****” written on it.
Luckily, the Queen reportedly accepted the gift in good humour – and by all accounts actually quite liked it. One of eight grandchildren, Prince Harry is among the hoards of people who show their appreciation for the monarch around Christmas. This festive season will be Queen’s first since she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee three months ago.

She has received countless gifts from fans and family over the course of her reign, making finding an original gift – at least one which is wholly appropriate – difficult. Arguably, Prince Harry deserves credit for getting his grandmother something she didn’t have before.
While there are no pictures of the Queen with her grandson’s gift, just the idea of her having it in her possession is enough to make you have a good chuckle. With Christmas on the way, there may be more funny anecdotes to come.
