Winchester Cathedral holding special service to remember the Queen this evening

A SPECIAL service of commemoration for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is taking place at Winchester Cathedral this evening.

Starting at 6pm, the service will feature music from uniformed bands and the Cathedral Choirs as well as contributions from representatives of charities of which the late Queen was patron.

The tribute will be given by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson Esq.

The sermon will be offered by the Dean of Winchester, the Very Rev’d Catherine Ogle.

Tickets are not required for the service, however people are being advised to arrive early as seats will be on a first come, first served basis. People can arrive from 4.30pm.

This service will also be available to watch via live stream on Winchester Cathedral’s YouTube channel.
