Primark, part time retail assistant
Salary: £9.66 – £10 per hour
The retailer is looking for staff to work a variety of shifts at its Metrocentre store.
As a retail assistant, you will be working on the sales floor, cash desk or fitting rooms and are expected to deliver an “exceptional service” and maintain high standards.

Royal Mail Group, seasonal mail sorters
Salary: £12.99 – £16.99
Based at Lindisfarne House in Gateshead, you’ll play a key role in delivering Christmas to the nation. You will unload mail and parcels from vans, move them through centres and help sort letters.
You will be working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and need to switch between tasks during a shift.
The job will also require pushing trolleys and lifting mail bags, and you will need to stand for long periods of time.

Round the Twist (NE) Limited, Santa and festive elves
Salary: £12 – £20 per hour
The indoor soft play centre is looking for someone who is kind, enthusiastic and has a jolly nature to play the role of the main man. Santa will be responsible for welcoming families and presenting gifts with assistance from their helper elves.
As one of Santa’s elves, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Grotto and creating a magical experience for the children.
You will need exceptional customer services and be able to improvise, interact and entertain children. Elves may also need to read a festive story to a small group so confidence is required.

Five Guys, seasonal crew member
Salary: £9.70 to £10.70
Along with free burger and fries when you’re on shift, staff will be working in all areas of the restaurant which will include explaining the choice of toppings, preparing patties and serving up fries.
The fast food chain is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and can deliver excellent quality, service and cleanliness.
Seasonal crew members will be part of the team until January 8 next year.

The retailer is looking for staff who are positive, enthusiastic and approachable. You will be working in a fast paced environment and speak to a diverse range of customers hunting for treasures in the store.

Clintons, seasonal team member
Salary: £4.96 – £9.50 per hour
As a seasonal team member, your role will be key in helping the business to achieve sales targets whilst delivering outstanding customer service.
You will spend time on the shop floor so an enjoyment of interacting with customers and natural selling skills are crucial to the role. All seasonal team members need flexibility in the hours that they are available to work.
