Nurse
The Royal College of Nursing has announced its strike dates. The members from England, Wales and Northern Ireland will strike on December 15 and 20. The union is demanding a 5 per cent pay rise amid inflation.
Trains
Members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) have also decided to go for strike. According to the bosses who have decided to cut jobs, the railways have not recovered from the pandemic. The system needs modernisation.
Health services
Ambulance technicians and paramedics working for the ambulance will also be on strike. The union is demanding a pay rise and a staff raise. They have warned that unless these demands are met, services will continue to decline.
Airport, Bus, Others
Services are also going to be disrupted at Heathrow airport. The ground staff has announced a 72-hour strike from December 16 to 18.
Abellio and Metroline Bus services have also declared a strike on December 8, 9, 15, and 16. West and South London routes will be affected.
Apart from that, firefighters, charity workers, post offices, meteorologists, scientists, road workers and the royal mail have announced strikes.
