Royal Mail strike dates in December and last Christmas posting days | News

Sending Christmas cards and presents has become a lot more complicated this year because of the Royal Mail strike. With posties planning further strikes, people will need to be organised and deliver their items much earlier. Here’s what you need to know.

Walkouts are being staged on the following dates:
• Friday, December 9
• Sunday, December 11
• Wednesday, December 14
• Thursday, December 15
• Friday, December 23
• Saturday, December 24

Royal Mail says disruption is likely and staff will not be delivering letters on strike days, with the exception of those sent by special delivery. But it can’t guarantee they will arrive.
