Suffolk: Rings and cash stolen during Bures burglary

A number of antique jewellery items and a “substantial” amount of cash have been stolen during a burglary near the Suffolk/Essex border.

The incident happened between 1pm and 4.45pm on December 20 at an address in Pebmarsh Road, Alphamstone, Bures.

According to Essex police, the cash and rings were taken from a safe.

One of the rings has ‘MIZPAH’ etched on the band, while a second has a blue stone which is believed to be a sapphire.

A Swarovski necklace with a diamond pendant was also taken.

Police would like to speak with anyone who saw or heard anything, or has been offered any of the items of jewellery for sale.

Anyone who has any information should contact Essex Police, quoting crime reference number 42/302706/22.
