Iron Maiden pop culture icon Eddie set to seize the spotlight as Royal Mail honour multimillion-selling rockers with special stamps

AS Royal Mail stamps go, they’re sure to turn heads.

The latest batch of collector edition stamps pay homage to one of the most revered rock bands of all time – Iron Maiden.

Eight of the stamps will feature images of legendary performances over the years and around the world.

A further four, presented in a miniature sheet, pay homage to the band’s long-serving mascot, Eddie, a pop culture icon in his own right

The band has amassed over 100 million record sales and clocked up around 2500 live performances across 64 countries. It has churned out 17 studio albums and recently finished its Legacy Of The Beast World Tour which played to over 3 million fans.

Royal Mail says it collaborated closely with the band members and Phantom Music Management Ltd on the stamp issue.

Iron Maiden become only the fifth music group to feature in a dedicated stamp issue – following on from The Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016, Queen in 2020 and the Rolling Stones in 2022.

The band will be back on the road in 2023 with their brand new, The Future Past tour, with dates across the UK and Europe.

The stamps go on general sale from January 12. A presentation pack containing all 12 will cost you £17.70.
