Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘won’t be on Royal balcony’ for King Charles’ Coronation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join fellow royals on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for King Charles’ Coronation, it has been claimed. The Coronation will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey and will see some changes to tradition.

Prince Charles will not wear an old-fashioned costume of silk stockings and breeches. He will instead wear a military uniform.

It has been claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are ‘unlikely’ to join King Charles and Camilla on the balcony for the huge event. Prince Andrew will also be absent as only working royals will be invited to the balcony, it has been reported.

There is no suggestion that Harry will be barred from the celebrations completely, although they fall on the day of son Archie’s fourth birthday. But the Daily Mail has spoken to a senior Royal insider who said it is “unlikely” him and Meghan will attend any major public appearances.

It comes after Harry made several claims about his family in his bestselling memoir Spare. They included allegations that Prince William attacked him and that Queen Consort Camilla leaked stories to the press.

Royal sources have claimed that the royal family could engage in peace talks with Harry soon. They say royals want to stop the claims in the book overshadowing the celebrations.

There will be two parades following the Coronation ceremony on May 6. Members of the royal family will then wave from the balcony at Buckingham Palace to close the celebrations.

The day will also see iconic locations across the country lit up with projections and lasers. There will also be drone displays.
