Trade unions across industries staged walkouts in disputes over pay and working conditions amid the cost of living crisis. Therefore, the strikes that started in 2022 continued into 2023. These employee walkouts have impacted a range of services across London such as the rail services, royal mail deliveries, NHS, ambulance drivers and even the teaching unions. But when are the train strikes in London in February 2023?

This week, there are two strikes as Aslef workers rejected the pay offer and announced the walkouts on February 1 and February 3. Moreover, Aslef employees will also be on strike on Bakerloo line on February 4 and February 11.

It is to mention that the strikes on February 1 and 3 will disrupt other rail services in London such as Thameslink, Southeastern and Southern. Lines that go into London such as Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, Great Western Railway, Greater Anglia, Great Northern, London North Eastern Railway and the Gatwick Express will also be disrupted due to the strikes.

On February 4 and 11, however, only the Bakerloo line will be impacted. All other services would run as per the usual schedule.

Apart from the already announced train strikes in the UK, the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has confirmed that there will be another six months of strikes across the National Rail and tube in 2023 as 94% of the members voted that industrial action should continue over pay disputes.
