Roses are red, violets are blue, if you forget to send your Valentine’s cards, we feel sorry for you.
If you’ve got someone special (or some people special, no judgement here) expecting a little Valentine’s Day treat from you this year, you might still have time to avoid being in the doghouse.
Whether you’re going out on the night itself or staying home with a meal deal, you’d want to make sure they have something to open on the day.
Even though the big day is tomorrow, here’s how you can still send out a card and some gifts…
Moonpig
The online card retailer will be extremely busy, so the sooner you can get your order in, the better.
As for their next day delivery details, their website explains: ‘With our reliable next day delivery service even the most last-minute of gifters can make a great impression. Simply order gifts or flowers by 9pm and we’ll deliver them the very next day.’
It’s not guaranteed there’ll be slots left if you leave it close to the 9pm deadline so get ordering!
And if you need some inspiration in what to leave as the message, we’ve got the perfect thing to say to someone you’re newly dating – or something more X rated if the mood hits.
Bloom and Wild
With gorgeous bouquets of flowers and other gifts available to choose online, Bloom and Wild make last-minute gift giving look like you’ve given plenty more thought to it.
Their delivery details are as follows:
- Free next-day delivery sent with Royal Mail.
- Place your order before 10pm (Monday-Sunday) for tracked next-day delivery.
- While 94% likely to get there on your chosen day, Royal Mail deliveries may arrive late.
Premium delivery
- Sent with DPD.
- Costs £5 for DPD guaranteed delivery Monday-Friday or £7 morning DPD or Saturday – Sunday £6 with DPD, £10 for morning DPD.
- Your gift will arrive any time between 8am-7pm on your chosen day.
Slots can become more expensive when the demand is high, so you’ll want to place your orders ASAP.
Thortful
With a huge mix of cards – ranging from sweet and romantic to rude and funny – Thortful will help you find the right card for your significant other.
Their delivery information is as follows: ‘Whilst we will endeavour to deliver your order by your chosen delivery date, Royal Mail First Class post is not a guaranteed one-day delivery service, so we cannot guarantee the exact delivery date.’
‘Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery offers next-day delivery, Mon-Fri. Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 24 items the next day, but does not guarantee it.’
Amazon Prime
When in doubt, stick with an old faithful.
While Amazon’s brown parcels might not scream old-world romance, you can still order a card or a gift for next day delivery if you’re a Prime customer.
On its website, Amazon explains that ‘cut off times apply, so check the product page when you place your order’ – something to bear in mind when choosing your gifts or cards.
