Queen Consort Camilla cancels all public engagements after positive COVID test

Camilla, the wife of King Charles III, has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed Camilla tested positive after suffering cold-like symptoms.

The palace added that the Queen Consort had cancelled all her public engagements for the rest of the week.

Both Charles and Camilla have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot.

Camilla first contracted the virus in February last year.

According to the royal family’s official website, Camilla’s last public engagement was on February 9, when she visited a centre for families impacted by domestic violence in London’s Battersea.

The coronation of Charles and Camilla is set for May 6 at London’s Westminster Abbey.

Last week Britain’s Royal Mail unveiled the first new stamps featuring the King’s image.
