Are post offices open on Good Friday and Easter Monday 2023?

Want to send off a quick (totally not forgotten) Easter card for a relative?

Or perhaps you want to spend the Good Friday bank holiday catching up on errands?

Whatever the case, it’s useful to know when things are open over the Easter weekend so you don’t find yourself staring at a ‘Sorry, we’re closed’ sign.

So, if you’re due a trip to the post office, here’s when you can expect them to be open over Easter.

Are post offices open on Good Friday?

Unfortunately, most post offices will be closed on Good Friday this year.

And as always, the post office will be closed on Sundays, including Easter Sunday.

Are post offices open on Easter Monday?

Unfortunately, most post offices will also be closed on Monday, April 10 to give their hardworking staff some much-needed time off.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance yours might be open, as some will still be open on either Friday or Monday – but not both.

Separately, you should note that Royal Mail does not do post collections or deliveries on UK bank holidays – including Good Friday and Easter Monday.

For anyone wishing to post over the Easter weekend, you should head down to your local branch on Saturday, April 15.
