Royal fans says Louis is the spitting image of the Princess of Wales

Royal fans have enjoyed the latest glimpse of Prince Louis after a photo was released to mark his birthday, with many saying he looks just like his mother.

The fourth-in-line to the throne turned five on April 23, and the Prince and Princess of Wales took to their official social media accounts to share adorable images of Prince Louis smiling in a wheelbarrow, with the Princess of Wales by his side.

As the happy birthday messages and wishes from around the world poured in, some fans made an observation that Louis looked like his mother when she was younger – and also her father Michael Middleton.

One image is a close-up of the Prince laughing and another image was taken showing Louis clutching the sides of a wheelbarrow as he sits on top of weeds and soil while a beaming Kate pushes him.

Those pictures were taken in Norfolk, with royal fans suggesting he resembled both his mum and his dad.

Kate has also taken her own photos for her children’s birthday and has proudly shared them online.

Users took to Instagram to compare the two, with one saying: ‘Looks like HRH Princess Catherine.’

Another added: ‘Looks so much like his momma.’

A third wrote: ‘He is beautiful and looks like his mum. Happy 5th birthday to Prince Louis.’ A fourth wrote: ‘He is the spit of his mother.’

But other users said they also saw similarities between Prince Louis and Kate’s father, Michael Middleton.

One person said: ‘He looks like his grandfather!! (Katherine’s father).’

Another wrote: ‘Adorable!!! I think he looks so much like his grandfather Middleton.’

A third penned: ‘Definitely grandpa Middleton.’

But others also likened Prince Louis to Princess Diana and the late Duke of Edinburgh. 

Princess Charlotte’s eighth birthday is next on the calendar – just days before the Coronation on May 2.

But some users said Prince Louis resembled Kate’s father, Michael Middleton, with some even saying he looked like Diana and the Duke of Edinburgh 

It was previously revealed by Mary Berry that the Princess of Wales stays up late on the evening before her children’s birthdays to bake them their very own birthday cakes.

Mary said: ‘She is good at piping and of course it’s her birthday today and she makes her own children’s birthday cakes,  just like a normal mum.’ 

Prince Louis weighed 8lb 7oz when he was born on April 23 in 2018 in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

Kate and William beamed on the steps of the hospital as they were pictured holding their bundle of joy for the first time. He christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, when he was 11 weeks old at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

The photographs to celebrate his birthday this year were taken by Millie Pilkington on the Windsor estate earlier this month. 

On his fourth birthday, Louis was pictured grinning as he played on a sandy beach in Norfolk with an orange cricket ball.
