A free online tool that enables users to create repeating patterns from a text description, powered by AI, has been launched by textile print-on-demand specialist Prinfab.
Prinfab AI was launched last week by the Faversham business, which was started in 2016 by brothers Oliver and Harry Mustoe-Playfair and now supplies over 30,000 customers worldwide.
Since launching, the service has generated over 5,000 images but has received a mixed response from customers on social media, from “fabulous” to “sad and surprised to see this from you”.
Harry Mustoe-Playfair commented: “Prinfab have provided free and open access to a powerful AI image generation platform.
“Within seconds, anyone can create a perfect repeating pattern.”
Oliver Mustoe-Playfair added: “As the world embraces AI, we’re keen to explore the creative opportunities with our customers.”
AI has become an increasingly hot topic of late, with large language models such as ChatGPT and Google Bard already being used in a variety of ways across a number of industries.
