The fair, at Boults Lane recreation ground in 1986, attracted more than 2,000 people and raised £800 for the 43rd Marston Scouts to spend on their headquarters.

Oxford Spires is one of six Scout Districts in Oxfordshire.

The district has 17 Groups, from Botley in the west to Thame in the east and from Kidlington in the north to Kennington in the south.
