The shocking moment a £187,000 Lamborghini Urus ploughed head first into a Royal Mail Royal Mail van head-on while overtaking traffic at speed has been caught on camera – in an incident that left six people injured. 

In the chilling dash cam footage, the blue supercar can be seen careering in and out of traffic on Royal Dock Road in Beckton yesterday. 

After running close a few times, the vehicle pulls out into the opposite lane to overtake and ploughs straight into the van. 

Footage after the crash shows the expensive sports car and delivery van completely totalled with severe damage to both of the front bonnets. 

The horror smash was caught on video by nearby motorists occurred on Tuesday at around 7.20pm on Royal Dock Road in Beckton, with images showing the front of the £187,000 supercar completely destroyed.

Emergency services including the police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene to provide assistance to those involved.

Six people have been treated for injuries, with the Metropolitan Police saying their ‘condition awaits’.

Road closures were put in place in the vicinity while police dealt with the aftermath of the crash

Drone footage of the road shows the severe damage sustained by both vehicles in the crash, and pictures show the road remained empty late into the night.

Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing as collision investigators work to establish a clear understanding of what led to the collision.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at approximately 19:20hrs on Tuesday, 11 July to reports of two cars in collision at Royal Dock Road, Beckton.

‘Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene. Six people were treated for injuries; condition awaits.

‘Road closures remain in place while the scene is dealt with. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.’
