Toni & Guy hairdresser to close in Andover

Andover’s Toni&Guy, which can currently be found on the High Street, has announced it will be shutting next month, on Saturday, August 19.

The salon first opened in 2004 and the team of trained stylists has been passionately dedicated to offering a wide range of hairdressing services.

Their unwavering commitment was recognised when they secured a well-deserved spot as a finalist in the “Hairdresser of the Year” competition earlier this year

Antony Webb, the creative director and salon owner of the hairdresser’s said: “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our loyal customers and our exceptional staff for their unwavering support during our time at Toni&Guy. It has been an amazing journey, but after nearly two decades, it’s time for a fresh start.”

The team also took to Facebook to share the news with residents.

They posted: “After an incredible journey that spanned nearly two decades, we have some bittersweet news to share. Toni&Guy Andover will be closing its doors at the end of August 2023.

“First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing customers, some who have been coming since we opened in 2004. Also to our exceptional staff, past and present, who have been with us for many years and feel more like family. Your loyalty and support have meant the world, and we cannot thank you enough.”

Residents have since been reacting to the news, many of whom have been loyal customers.

Rachel Terry posted: “Such sad news, you’ll be missed in the High Street, another one bites the dust! Wishing you all, all the best.”

Another, Sally Fitzgerald posted: “I shall miss seeing you all in one place, but congratulations and I wish you all luck in your ventures moving forward! Thank you for everything from an amazing ‘doo’ to everlasting friendships. Much love to you all.”

The team has announced that staff will continue to work in the area.

The Facebook post continued: “While bidding farewell to our beloved location at 59 High Street is tough, we are thrilled to let you know that many of our incredibly talented stylists will continue to work locally. The last day at the salon will be Saturday, August 19th. Rest assured, all existing bookings before this date will be honoured, and we will personally reach out to you if you have an appointment scheduled after this date. So, no need to worry! If you’d like to book a future appointment, you can do so directly with your favourite stylist at andoverhairdressers.co.uk.

“We understand you may have questions, and we’re here for you. Feel free to reach out to us through our social media channels, and we’ll be more than happy to assist you.

“Once again, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for being a part of our Toni&Guy story. It will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
