Princess Charlotte and her Granny Diana – Wimbledon’s royal doubles despite sitting in the Royal Box some 30 years apart

They may have sat in the Royal Box at Wimbledon some 30 years apart – but as these pictures show, Princess Charlotte is the double of her late grandmother Diana.

The young princess stole the show when she made her debut at the men’s final last weekend, cheering on Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, 20, as he deposed Novak Djokovic to become world number one.

And the eight-year-old appears to have inherited more than just a love of the sport from Diana.

Charlotte served up a treat for Royal fans by mirroring her granny’s facial expressions and mannerisms too.

Staring intently at the action on centre court, resting her chin on her hand, she was the image of Diana at the 1995 men’s singles final when the then Princess of Wales watched Pete Sampras defend his title against Boris Becker.

Even Charlotte’s round sunglasses had her looking a dead ringer for Diana. They both peered over them with the same broad smile.
