Hundreds of scooters descended on a Bolton pub to raise money for an important cause.
Local scooter club, Bolton Two Hats, held the event recently to fundraise for North West Air Ambulance Charity.
Taking place at the Three Pigeons on Wigan Road, over 280 riders met to raise money and celebrate their shared passion.
Angela Bentley, member of the club and wife of a committee member, said: “The club has been going for four years, it was set up by a group of friends, and over the last two years it has progressed massively.
“Members range from 18-70 years old and we go out most Sundays. We are free to join and have over 500 members.
“We only ride on A and B-roads, not motorways, and any type of scooter is welcome.”
She continued: “We had an event on August 16, it was a Lancashire Scooter Alliance event, so all clubs in Lancashire take part.
“We raised money for North West Air Ambulance with a tombola and through donations, raising £1041.70.”
She spoke about being part of the club, saying: “I have never had a scooter until the last 12 months, and I absolutely love it, few more family members joined club.
“It is the social aspect, it is surprising how many people look at scooters and think ‘I really liked that’.
Bolton Two Hats meets at the Three Pigeons on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm, leaving at 6.45pm, and on Sundays from 10am or 11am depending on the day.
