Darcie Tanyon leaves her quiet Devon village to travel to the capital city because she wants to join the famed female supergroup “The Three Missketeers”.

The trouble is that the whole country is controlled by the Austerity Party, who insist that no-one should have any fun.

King Charles has no power to stop what is happening but is sympathetic to those who would like to enjoy themselves, though Queen Diana favours the leader of the Austerity Party, Cardinal Sin-bad Richanlow who has spies watching and listening to everything.

Meanwhile, the Missketeers continue to evade capture and perform in secret venues. At the same time, can Darcie prove her worth and join the prestigious group? Things come to a head when the villain decides that King Charles must abdicate to be replaced, but will it be a hard or soft exit?

“Will the Abdication Ceremony be turned on its head by a Flashmob for Freedom? Who will end up with whom and what, why and where? And which character is the dame?”
