Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas shed a tear watching his brother Adam perform tonight on Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC ballroom competition returned this weekend with a brand new showcase of classic dances. Actor Adam Thomas and his partner Luba Mustuk performed a mesmerising waltz to Curtis Stigers’ song I Wonder Why.
During his video introduction, Adam said the waltz was something he “always wanted to do.” He added: “It’s been tough this week and it’s really demanding but I’m excited to get out there on the dancefloor.”

Nerves tossed well and truly aside, his performance was a raging hit with the judges, with Anton Du Beke admitting he was “speechless.” Craig Revel Harwood added: “Welcome to the competition, darling.”
Strictly host Tess Daly talked Adam through the critiques before pointing out his brother Ryan who was crying in the audience. As the camera panned, Ryan wiped away his tears but continued to cheer on his brother.”
Adam laughed the emotions off before he said: “I loved [the dance]. It’s like a movie. I’m so pleased I was finally able to do it.” He and his partner walked away with their highest score yet, 32 points.
