Geopost appoints new CEO for Italian express courier BRT

Geopost has appointed Stefania Pezzetti as CEO of Italy’s leading express courier BRT, which has a network of more than 200 branches and a revenue of €1.88bn (US$2bn) in 2022.

Prior to joining BRT, Pezzetti held significant roles in the field of logistics and transportation both nationally and internationally. Her path began in 1992 in the area of controlling at KPMG before joining the logistics sector in 1998 within TNT in Poland. There, Pezzetti held a variety of positions up to operations and engineering director (2013) before joining FedEx for six years, up to her most recent role of VP ground operations Italy, Spain and Portugal for FedEx Express.

Eric Dietz, executive vice-president Europe of Geopost, said, “With a solid track record in the logistics and transport industry, Stefania Pezzetti has the best profile to consolidate BRT’s leading position and pursue its ambitious strategy. I am very happy to welcome her into the Geopost family. We entrust her with the management of this high-value subsidiary composed of highly engaged teams, and are confident that, thanks to her strategic vision of the business, she will lead BRT to its next phase of the growth journey amid the demanding economic conditions we are facing today.”

Pezzetti said, “It’s a great honor to take on the leadership of a company that has, for almost a century, led the way in express transport in Italy. The speed of execution that lies at the heart of BRT’s DNA will allow us to innovate and anticipate trends in an economic scenario which holds continuous challenges but also huge opportunities.

“As always, we will be guided by the legacy of the well-known red liveried BRT vehicles traversing the Italian road network and assuring our customers of the top-quality experience they demand. I know that I can count on a team of exemplary professionals, and I am proud to build, together with them, the BRT of the future.”
