Royal expert says Prince William and Kate have asked Harry and Meghan to ‘make up’

A Royal expert has claimed Prince William and Princess Kate are trying to bring to an end their so-called feud with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have a strained relationship with the Royal Family.

The couple – who live in America with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – are reportedly estranged from William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales. But royal author Tom Quinn has said William and Kate have tried to fix this.

He claimed the couple have reached out to Harry and Meghan, urging them to bring their children to the UK to visit. But it is thought the couple has refused.

Mr Quinn said: “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far.”

The Sussexes hit out at members of the Royal Family during their Netflix docuseries, as well as their shock interview with Oprah Winfrey, Mirror reports. Prince Harry also made a number of accusations about his brother and sister-in-law in his debut memoir Spare.

In the book, the Duke of Sussex opened up about an explosive row with older brother William, during which the Prince of Wales allegedly called Meghan ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’. Harry claims his brother then ‘grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor’.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet live with their parents in California and have spent limited time with the Royal Family. The children met with the Royals during the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Harry and Meghan were set to bring their children to the UK in September 2022 but changed plans amid safety concerns. In court documents released after the ruling in Prince Harry’s UK security case, it was revealed the couple had asked for security but were denied by RAVEC (the Royal and VIP Executive Committee).

It was then said that Harry and Meghan’s team ‘wrote to say that the proposed security arrangements for the September visit were not lawful’. They also described the measures as ‘inadequate’.
