The Royal Thai Police are hosting the SWAT Challenge 2024, a grueling competition to identify the nation’s top special operations teams.

This year’s event, held from May 13-18, 2024, aims to select the best team to represent Thailand at the upcoming UAE SWAT Challenge in Dubai.

The competition serves as a crucial platform to enhance the capabilities and readiness of Thailand’s special operations units.

Last year, Thailand made remarkable strides on the global stage, sending an all-female team to the international competition. Their success solidified the country’s reputation for producing exceptional special operations personnel.

This year’s challenge features 29 teams from various police commands across the nation. The competition is divided into five stages, each testing the teams’ skills in various aspects of special operations.

In the first stage, “Hostage Rescue,” Team Hanuman from the Crime Suppression Division emerged victorious, demonstrating their proficiency in hostage rescue tactics and teamwork.

For those eager to witness the remaining stages, tune in to Facebook POLICE TV, the Royal Thai Police Television Station, from now until May 18, 2024. (TNA)
