Immingham without a Post Office again as temporary branch closes

Immingham is once more without its own Post Office after the temporary branch in the Civic Centre closed this week.

The Post Office told Grimsby Live it hopes to restore service to Immingham “as soon as possible”. In the meantime, it advised customers to visit South Killingholme, Healing and East Halton branches.

When it opened in April, the Post Office in the Civic Centre served as a “temporary” solution to the closure of the main Post Office in Kennedy Way after its roof collapsed in February. But the Civic Centre Post Office also closed this week – leaving Immingham residents concerned.

In an email on June 14, a Post Office spokesperson said: “Kennedy Way Post Office has closed with immediate effect due to unforeseen circumstances. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this unplanned closure.

“We are looking to restore service to the area as soon as possible. In the interim alternative branches include South Killingholme, Healing and East Halton.”
